Urgotul SSD, a unique combination of TLC and Silver Sulphadiazine, guarantees dynamic healing in a moist environment, along with an immediate and prolonged antibacterial efficacy. The bactericidal effect of Urgotul SSD is obtained through the action of its two synergistic molecules, avoiding any risk of resistant micro-organism selection. The broad antibacterial spectrum of Urgotul SSD ensures efficacy on all the micro-organisms (including MRSA) usually responsible for secondary infection of wounds. Its bactericidal effect is immediate and sustained for a minimum of three days.

Urgotul SSD is a soft polymer wound contact dressing (utilising new lipido-colloid technology). Urgotul SSD is a non-occlusive dressing comprising of a polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles dispersed in a petroleum jelly matrix, combined with an antibacterial agent (silver sulphadiazine).
The mesh is made up of 100% continuous non-deformable polyester filaments with a mesh opening diameter of 0.5 mm.
